Coin Wizard Games will close on Oct. 28, roughly five months after launching in May, according to a closure email. The notice gave no reason for the shutdown.
Sweeps Coins redemptions will remain available until the site closes, and the email said requests would be processed “in an expedited manner.” Players with eligible balances therefore have less than two weeks to submit redemption requests before the stated deadline.
Coin Wizard’s official rules identify Golden Hearts Games Inc. as doing business as Coin Wizard Games and as sponsor or promoter of its promotional games. The browser-based social-casino platform used Gold Coins for entertainment and gave away Sweeps Coins that could be used to participate in promotional games.
The rules distinguish between Unplayed and Redeemable Sweeps Coins. Unplayed coins have no cash value and generally expire 14 days after award if unused, while Redeemable Sweeps Coins are awarded as prizes and carry a stated value of $1 each. Eligible account holders can redeem the latter for cash prizes or digital gift cards subject to the applicable minimum balance.
The closure email said Golden Hearts Games, described as Coin Wizard’s sister website, would remain open with the same games and experiences. It described Golden Hearts as offering more than 1,200 games from more than 20 content suppliers. Coin Wizard itself offered more than 400 games, including titles from 3 Oaks, Booming Games, Playson and RubyPlay, along with its own exclusive games.
The shutdown creates an apparent timing mismatch with Coin Wizard’s rules page, which lists an October sweepstakes entry period running through Oct. 31, although the announced site closure falls three days earlier.
As we reported in August, CoinFrenzy also set a September shutdown while keeping games and redemptions open through its final deadline.
SweepsKings linked Coin Wizard’s brief lifespan to a difficult regulatory environment and a shrinking market for sweepstakes operators, while stressing that the closure notice itself did not give a reason. A May analysis by Venable described a rapidly changing, fragmented legal framework, noting that Indiana, Maine, Oklahoma and Iowa had enacted sweepstakes-casino legislation during the 2026 legislative cycle as of May 22. The analysis said operators commonly use a free method of entry to address the consideration element traditionally used in gambling and illegal-lottery analysis.
Coin Wizard offered such an Alternative Method of Entry, through which users could request complimentary Sweeps Coins without purchasing Gold Coins. Its rules also listed welcome bonuses, daily visit bonuses, offer-wall rewards, referrals, social-media giveaways and selected Gold Coin packages among ways users could acquire Unplayed Sweeps Coins.
