RealPrize and LoneStar stopped offering Sweeps Coins play to Delaware customers on Aug. 21 after cease-and-desist letters from the Delaware Division of Gaming Enforcement. Players have until Sept. 21 to submit redemption requests and until Sept. 22 to withdraw any remaining balances. Gold Coin play remains available because it does not involve prize redemption.

The move means Delaware residents can no longer earn, receive or spend Sweeps Coins through either platform. The notices quoted in reporting said the shutdown applied to Delaware accounts immediately, while the two September deadlines govern the wind-down of redemptions and balances.

RealPrize’s promotional play rules page, last updated on Aug. 21, lists RealPlay Tech Inc. as the operator. It says the sweep coins contests are intended for recreational and entertainment purposes only, are not real-money gambling and are not available to users in Delaware.

Delaware’s enforcement against sweepstakes casinos has widened beyond these two brands. The state sent cease-and-desist letters to multiple operators in mid-August and has said these kinds of real-money games offered to Delaware residents by an unlicensed entity violate the Delaware Constitution, the Delaware Penal Code and the Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act of 2012. The state has not passed a law specifically targeting sweepstakes casinos, relying instead on existing gambling statutes.

The episode fits a pattern already seen in Delaware. VGW, the parent of Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots and Global Poker, withdrew its sweepstakes operations from the state in April 2025 after similar regulatory action, and other operators later blocked Delaware customers rather than contest the state’s position. Delaware residents still have access to legal online casino gaming, online poker and sports betting under the Delaware Lottery’s statewide contract, operated by BetRivers on behalf of Delaware Park Casino, Bally’s Dover Casino Resort and Harrington Raceway & Casino.
