Stake.us has launched its World KO Championship Poker Series, a run of knockout poker events with more than 1 million SC in prizes that is built around World Cup rest days.
According to RG, the series runs from 28 June through 20 July and spans 23 days of tournaments. It is set up so no event starts while a World Cup match is being played.
The whole schedule revolves around knockout formats, including regular KOs, progressive knockouts and Mystery Bounty events. Stake.us says the format gives players a chance to win bounties and take their opponents’.
The centerpiece is the SC100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event, which uses phased Day 1 flights and a Best Stack Forward structure. Players can enter one or more qualifying flights, but only their highest qualifying stack carries into the July 20 finale.
Pokerfuse listed the Bye Day Specials for 8, 12, 13, 16 and 17 July. Their prize pools rise by SC500 for every goal scored during the tournament period, and the rest-day events account for more than 700,000 SC in guaranteed prizes.
Beyond the marquee events, the daily menu includes Mystery Bounties, Super Terminators, Progressive Knockouts, Big Bounty Hunters and Speed Run PKOs. The buy-ins across the series range from SC5 to SC50.
Stake.us operates as a sweepstakes platform using Gold Coins and Stake Cash, according to Phandroid. The company says users who collect at least 5 SC and play through it three times or more can redeem it for cash prizes.
